£1400, plymouth, m reg 1.6, red, under 50k mileage.

Abit of history since my dad owned it; he bought it at 35k mileage, standard w/ fox alloys, he got hit by a motorcyclist which put the car in my mates garage. New bonnet, bumper, lights and radiator was fitted. Now its all back up and running after my dad passed me the keys.

Reason im selling:

group 23 insurance
already have an astra estate 1.6
not very practical for my every day life

Will miss this car if i do sell it, such a stunning car to drive, cd player included (kenwood) if i remember correctly. All service history etc are at the garage, cars currently under trade insurance so im happy to let you take it for a spin, as said above, im located in plymouth.

a fiat coupe 20v turbo running around 225bhp is only group 21, and a subaru impreza sti running 315bhp is only group 20..

edit: i just looked on parkers mate....its a group 10

Its only group 10

there are actually 2 different scales used by different insurers.

some do the classic 1-20 (with a hidden 20+ or "21" for the likes of Ferrari's), others do 1-40

its ridiculous to be honest, my Forester was GP17 on the classic scale, my focus is a 10 even though it has 1/4 the power and is worth less than 1/20

i asked like, 239582359 insurance groups, and they all said they use group 23... I dont know, im just reitterating what they had told me.
