After a lot of looking around I found this for sale, local to me to. Picked it up Friday. So so happy with it. It's such a solid bike (which is a good thing, as I'm not a 10stone nipper like I was when I used to ride BMX). Very quiet ride.

I got it for a bargain too. It also matches my car so it'll look lovely on the roof rack :)

It's very different to the Hi-ten bikes that I used to ride as a kid. For one, the crank pedals feel longer, and you feel like your riding more to the front of the bike if you know what I mean. It's great though. Doesn't feel like it might break anytime. Also, the crank is on the left, which felt strange at first lol. I've always known them to be on the right??

get your seat down and go brakeless, or atleast take off the front one, and you win!

I like it, got to agree about front brake(remove)as for seat mines higher than that on a stolen riot(not as flexible as i used to be) comfort rather than fashion........................

Cheers guys. it actually came without the front brake but I put it on. It just felt weird without it :)

As for the seat, maybe I'm still stuck in the 90's but I don't get why you'd lower the seat, unless it's just for more clearance when doing tricks (in which case, that won't be a problem, I'm a bit of noob these days). Oh and in September I'll be using the bike on this - http://www.tyhafan.org/get-involved/our-ev...cycle-challenge - 55 miles :) So I'll need something to sit on haha

Haha well I've gotta say, it did look pretty cool with the seat all the way down though. I might move the bars a bit more forward though, it feels like I might go over the front sometimes.

Oh and in case anyone's wondering, I paid £130 for it. :) :)

sounds like a bargain!

as for seat position, go with what is comfy - not what is "scene"

SCENE SCENE SCENE

i'm dont even want to be scene, i just think bike look more tidy with the seats down, but fair enough if you are cycling 55 miles.

And again brakeless wise, i dont do it to be scene i just like it to be minimal :)

Little update:

Been riding it most days now in my lunch hour at work. Did 17km's today :)

Getting much more confident on it now too.

I took the front brake off a couple of weeks ago and prefer it without (it wasn't very good anyway). The handlebar feels nicer without. Oh and I've gone "scene" as you kids call it lol with the seat. Feels much better lower, it's just out of the way and the bike feels easier to jump for some reason.

Two questions though, it says the hubs are "Hubset: Alloy 36H, Front 3/8" Crmo axle, Rear LHD sealed mech. cassette w/ 14mm hollow axle", what oil/greate should I use on it?
Also, the chain has gotten slacker, what do you guys use to tighten it? Special tool or good old fashioned undo bolts pull tight, ask a friend to re-tighten.

That is a very lovely looking bike mate. Love the colour combo of white and black.
I am just new to this, so maybe you would be better off waiting for other people's advise, but in regards to your chain being slack, just pull the back wheel out a little more and hey presto... the chain is tight as a nut.
Happened to me after I had to change my tube due to a pinch flat, and I just pushed the back wheel out to give me the right tension.
Don't know if you have chain tensioners on your bike (judging from the pic you don't), but if you do then it is simply an allen key job.

Kobe :)
