This is Peck's old UTD40. Sprayed it up for my friend, who bought it from him. Sorry for the low quality pictures, my flick account expired, so now my image hosting space is massively limited.

This is how I got the frame:

Whoever sprayed it last time did a shit job and only half stripped the old powdercoat off. there was rust coming through too, where they used the wrong paints.

I spent a few hours wet-sanding and priming:

Sprayed the frame with it's first colour-coat, and did the topcoats on the bar and forks:

Then I spent a couple of hours with masking tape and a razor blade cutting 5mm squares:

Then I over-sprayed the masked area in red:

It looked like this after a WHOLE DAY of prep and painting:

It looked like this after the second day of masking, cutting and painting:

I've made this version of the graphic up in black vinyl to put on after it's all had a final touch-up and a few clearcoats:

If any of you fancy a slightly different paintjob, and want to send your frame/components my way, I can sort you out (for a small fee!).

What do you guys think?

Cheers :)

I used 400 and 800 grit to prep the frame, and a light sand with 800 after the undercoat, but the topcoats are straight over eachother.

I make vinyl stickers the old fashion way, with a scalpel :) I'll show you what they look like once they're done.
