You may have seen my post on building up a bike, but I saw this and thought it was a good deal, full crmo frame fork, and bars with sealed bearings everywhere, for 210 quid!

I was a bit worried about the colour, because on the website it was a white bike not the limited edition purple bikes, which I couldn't find a picture of anywhere, but its turned alright and Im pretty happy with it.

Sorry about the shit photo, I will get another at some point tommorow

Frame, Mirraco black pearl 2 full crmo
Forks:Mirraco
Bars: Mirraco
stem: Mirraco
Wheels: Sun Rhyno Lite rims on a rear Mirraco cassette hub with a 10mm front hub (both sealed)
Cranks:Mirraco 3pc crmo
Tires: Snafu
grips: snafu
Brake lever: snafu
Brake caliper: tektro
Seat and post and clamp:Mirraco
Sprocket:Mirraco 33 tooth
Pedals: Wellgo
Pegs (when I put them on) Mirraco

all for 210 quid!

Just need a new stem, bars, pedals( probably tpc's), a smaller sprocket and some grips.

Seen as im new, I just need to know a couple of things.

What sort of ratio should I run with a 12t driver for riding a mix of trails and street?

Is it worth buying some kevlar tires and lightweight tubes to reduce rolling weight? Is there a big difference?

And what sort of bars would you recommend with 50 quid to spend? I want about 8.75 height and about 5 degrees of backsweep.

And what sort of tricks should I start learning as a begineer, I can already do fakies, fairly high bunnyhops and manuals. So what next?

Cheers, Alex

Bike looks alright.

For bars i would recomend Proper TTXL, there the only bars i can think of with 8.75 rise.

They also have very little backsweep.

From past experiance i wouldn't get kevlar tires mine all seemed to have like eggs in them, but never had the same problem with wire bead.

If you want a light tire get the sergio layos tire, there very light. The wire beeded version is lighter than a kevlar ruben!

Sprocket sizes for a 12t driver i would recomend a 33t, any lower it would probably feel to light.

Hope this all helps. :)

As always it looks a lot nicer in the flesh, and the purples darker than it is in the picture

Cheers mate, I was considering spraying it, to be honest I only bought it because it had good parts on for the money, but I quite like it now.

And what are United value bars like?, I was actually thinking of some bars with about 8 degrees and 8.5 rise. Whats out there?
