:) :) :) :) :)
So, I got a new bike today! I noticed that I'm the only guy on this BMX forum who doesn't actually BMX! I then found out that there's a BMX Park right outside my college (Moseley Road) so I bought this as a beginner. I know the bar angle is stupid but i'll adjust that.

Comments on the bike please and any tips on starting off would be appreciated! Thanks!

Awesome. Move the bars back a bit so they're parallel to the forks. Then your all set to start the magical journey of bmxing.

Remove your pegs, unless you're planning on using them. Obvious i know, but it'll save you 2lbs. It's probably worth ripping that chain guard off and the front brake as well. No harm in keeping them though :)

Yeah. Really I need to keep the brakes and chain guard on because I go to college on the bike. By the way, where do I start when BMXing. I no idea what skills I need to do.

what do you do when you fail...
you try again and again and again, one thing i learnt is dont learn wheelies i wasted weeks of precious manual learning time on learning wheelies and its the most pointless and terrible 'trick' you could do.
but yeh good luck.

this. You only need one brake if any. I doubt youll be grinding just yet so those pegs should go aswell. The bell answers itself, chain guard i can understand keeping but its a bloody hassle when your chain snaps. Snap them reflectors off!
the lighter your bike is the easier it will be to learn stuff - as im finding out now.

Little bit of advice - 1 piece cranks will not last long if your learning. Iv seen a guy fall flat on his arse from something like this snapping in the air. get some cheap 3 piece ones off here or try halfords.

:) :) STILL! I can't do a bunnyhop. How do I get the back tyre off the ground? I end up jumping off the pedals. I've watched so many tutorials on youtube.
In one of them the guy says;
1. Practice lifting the front wheel. (I can do that)
2. Practice lifting the back wheel, Lean forward and "scoop" on the pedals (No luck with this)
3. Combine the two moves quickly (Not even thinking about this yet!)

HOW DO I DO THIS?

(Sorry for the SHOUTING. I'm really annoyed :) )

Oh yeah. I've moved the bars parallel to the forks.

Lift up on the front wheel, once it gets to its peak height, launch your balls up and towards the bars, this should get the back wheel of the ground too.

Okay. Thanks mate. I'll try it tomorrow. Bloody miserable weather in Birmingham. It just makes me want to stay indoors. :)

BTW thanks everyone for the comments! :)
