I had a bike with a huge dinner plate once too, although it never stopped me, i still rode as well as the others, and better then some of them.

Now i have my new bike, and i love it.

Great bike to start on but don't bother slowly upgrading it. It's a complete waste of time because that bike has pretty much nothing going for it as in 'decent' compnents etc. Just get the use out of it and buy a nice custom :)

got to agree there really except I'd say ride that and save up for a nice complete at about the 400-500 quid mark

the one exception is the cranks. you'll probably bend those within about 15 minutes of riding it so it's worth having the money put aside for some new ones.

you don't need to go mad and buy profiles or wombolts etc. - you can get ok quality 3 piece cranks for 40 or 50 quid if you're not bothered whose name is on them and its unlikely you'll bust them before something else major goes.

DB don't earn you scene points but they do build frames with proper geometry and you tend to get a fair bit for your money so they're rarely a bad choice (for a low end bmx at least)
almost immaculate 20.75 lofi frame in olive green for sale. pm for details as I can't be arsed digging the thread up.

To be honest the bike isnt rearly anything special as far a completes go.
But if you have to change something change the cranks and the BEAST of a sprocket !
That things wider than my bars :) and i run 28's
